A "Woodsert" (often referred to as a threaded insert for wood) is a screw-in metal bushing designed to provide a permanent, machine-grade threaded socket in wood, MDF, or particle board. Unlike T-nuts, which are hammered in, Woodserts are screwed into a pre-drilled pilot hole using a hex key or specialized driver.
